Almost four years ago when my first daughter was born it was as though my world cracked open. Fresh off a traumatic birth experience for both of us, I found myself seeing new mothers in a new light. It’s a not an unusual story—woman has baby and discovers injustice abounds in the postpartum universe. But, I knew in some small way I wanted and needed to pour my energy into supporting women in a time when society seemingly forgets them.

I became obsessed with all things postpartum support. I completed my lactation counselor certification at night while I worked full time (this was in my daughter’s second year, mind you, the first year was a blur and that is ok!). I started training to become a postpartum doula, and I began dreaming about starting a content studio dedicated to supporting women postpartum and beyond.

Now, in my day job you’ll find me running the brand and content teams at Teachable but at night it’s all about creating courses and content and helping new mothers find balance, peace, and passion. Thank you for visiting the BNB project and I can’t wait to get to know you!
